About DCDC

Destiny Community Development Center

DCDC is a nonprofit community development center in Colorado. We provide education, workforce, and life-skills programs that help people move from where they are to where they are meant to be.

Our Mission

"The day you were born—and the day you discover why."

We exist to provide transformational education that helps individuals—especially those facing social and economic barriers—clarify their purpose, recognize their strengths, and access practical, supported pathways to education, work, and community contribution.

Our Plain-Language Promise

Start where you are. DCDC will help you understand what you do well, choose a next step and build a practical plan for education, training or work.

Our Vision

A community where every person has the skills, support, and opportunity to thrive.

About DCDC

Destiny Community Development Center provides transformational education, career discovery, workforce preparation, digital learning and coaching.

We help people understand their purpose and strengths and take practical steps toward education, work and community contribution.

Our programs are built on the Agilities™ framework from The DeBruce Foundation — a research-based approach to identifying and developing the work-related strengths that lead to sustainable employment and a fulfilling life.

What We Believe

Every person has value

We do not sort people into categories of capable and incapable. Every person carries strengths worth developing and a future worth pursuing.

Strengths become useful when people can name and apply them

Naming your strengths is the first step. Applying them is the work. DCDC helps with both.

Barriers should lead to support planning, not automatic exclusion

When someone faces a barrier, the right response is a plan — not a closed door.

Technology can handle repetition

AI and digital tools can take care of routine tasks so people can focus on what matters most.

AI can support preparation

Artificial intelligence can help participants research careers, practice interviews and build documents — with a coach guiding the process.

Agilities can reveal work strengths

The Agilities™ framework from The DeBruce Foundation helps people discover the work activities they enjoy and do well — and connect those to real career pathways.

People provide judgment, trust, coaching and care

Technology supports the work. People do the work. DCDC coaches bring judgment, trust and genuine care to every participant relationship.

Our Program Pathway

DCDC's three programs form a continuum — from foundational skill-building to education persistence to workforce success.
